about us

Eleanor
Combining my Catholic faith with my love for natural beauty, I strive to create bouquets that feel like an explosion of nature, as if God's creation is joyfully overtaking the space. If ever I’m not making bouquets, there’s a pretty good chance I’m creating something else, from crochet to embroidery to poetry, I’ve always got something I’m engaged in and I always endeavor to make it a reflection of Gods beauty.

Lydia
My experience with floral work comes from assisting and learning from my mother, a florist by trade. I love beauty and flowers (especially peonies and lavender). I also love to sing, sew, draw, see new places, cook obscure dishes from Europe, and give speeches to my imaginary audience. Most of all I love Jesus.

About St. Dorothea
We chose St. Dorothea as our patroness because both florists and brides fall under her patronage. She was martyred in 311 at Caesarea. As she went to her execution, a pagan lawyer named Theophilus mocked her by asking her to send him fruit from her bridegroom's—Christ's—garden. After her death a child appeared to the lawyer bringing a basket of apples and roses, then disappeared. Theophilus later converted and was himself martyred for the faith.
